It's easy. Basically, members can share content (text, images, videos, links, etc) just like any other social media or social networking platform - except Transmit members (ie. Creators - because they create "content") have the option of sending an optional E-Blast when they post their content.
E-Blasts are basically, soft, instant, simultaneous notifications that let your Followers know you've posted new content. They are made up of 4 communications formats, which can all be easily turned on/off by simply clicking a checkbox:
- SMS Text Message - powered by Twilio
- Email - with customization template(s)
- Direct Message - located inside transmitall.com
- "Rich" Push Notifications - via the Transmit Mobile App(s)
Content Updates/Shares are limited to 300 characters, but premium accounts are coming soon, which will allow Members/Creators to share Content Updates with unlimited characters.
Transmit Campaign Dashboard (for E-Blasts)In addition, Members can use Transmit's Campaign Manager Dashboard, which has more advanced and detailed features for creating and crafting bulk Notifications and Messages with Image, Video, clickable links, tracking, etc. And even scheduling them to go out at specific/certain times. It's also great for having a "Draft" status or being able to re-send the same type of Notification every week, etc.
Campaign based Notifications automatically post to your Follower's Notifications Feeds, which is like an exclusive list of all the Notifications from Accounts they follow. This ensure Users can always go back and see a Notification they may have missed.
In addition, the Notification Feed contains the long-form version of a Notification. So when you're creating the Notification in the Campaign Manager you have the option right there to add a longer version. Then you can either link to it from your Notification (ie. in the text/body) or when Users go to check it in their Notification Feed they'll automatically see the longer version.
Note: We designed it, so it was simple enough to look like a feed of missed Notifications, but advanced enough to feel like a mini-blog of posts.
Extended NotificationsAnother way of thinking of the long-form Notifications is as "extended". For example, you could send out a Notification about Instruction for some Event, but say "See Notifications feed for more" - and then already have posted more images, instructions, directions, etc. in the longer version. It's an efficient and clever way of linking a quick bite of information to a more detailed and thorough version.
